This Bee’s favorite parade at Walt Disney World is SpectroMagic! I remember going to Disney World in 1972 and waiting all day to see it. We caught a glimpse as it rode by but not a good look. To this day, when it swings on by, I stop and watch the whole thing. It really is magical. I found the video below on Veho.
People line up for this event as they do the fireworks! It’s one of the great evening events The Magic Kingdom has to offer and all you need is a good viewing area.

Nearly half a million lights and fiber optic cables light up the streets for this lit extravaganza.
There is just something about lights music and Disney that is so alluring. They know how to make a visit amazing.
Of course the main thing about SpectroMagic is simply how dazzling the light displays are. This Peacock is a sight to behold. If you look to the lower right you’ll see these amazing fiber optic flowers that were just lovely!
Even more flower floats were on the horizon!
And of course no SpectroaMagic would be complete without a wave from Cinderella and her Prince.
But the one almost every kid around wants to see is Mickey Mouse. I can’t tell you what a joy it is to hear kids yelling “MICKEY!!!!!!” at the tops their lungs. This is the coolest sighting in the park for them and for this adult who just loves seeing the joy it brings them.
As the holiday’s go, Disney does it like no other. So if you haven’t been, you may want to reconsider. Many of my adult friends who don’t have kids, make it a yearly destination. It’s just fun. I like to go for the gardens, but that is a whole ‘nother post! What’s on tap for tomorrow? We’re going to see just how Disney’s horticultural specialists decorate the parks for the holidays. It’s quite the ordeal and just as impressive as every other aspect of the Walt Disney World experience.
