Tulipmania at the Philadelphia Flower Show! Part III
Tip toeing through the tulips in the Netherlands isn’t that expensive after all. Well at least not if you’re doing it at this year’s Philadelphia Flower Show! The creative garden Tulipmania is an exquisitely re-created trip down the canals of Amsterdam.

The canal is faithfully rendered with bicycles huddled by a long, cracked and moss-accented European-style sidewalk. One of the famous bicycle parking signs perfectly sets the scene and the ambiance for the thousands of tulips on display!

Roberston’s Flowers describes their creation as and exhibit which, “presents views of the Dutch landscape from inside and outside the flower shop…” ”Designing a Flower-filled Dutch Adventure” successfully won Best Achievement!

There are tulips everywhere, including in the water! They are beautifully offset with tall reeds that also are collected in small bunches on the canal banks.

I call it a landscaping masterpiece. If you can bring Amsterdam to the Philly flower Show, you can make it in your own back yard! Ok, well maybe only a few of us have enough landscaping money and time to do it right, but thanks to Robertson’s Flowers for showing us it can be done at all!

For stunning tulips and other blooms visit Roberston’s Flowers based in Wyndmoor, Bryn Mawr and Chestnut Hill in Pennsylvania and of course at the Philladelphia International Flower Show through the end of the weekend.

Well this is just one of the dozens of floral installations here at this year’s show. More is coming! Stay warm and keep dreaming of Spring. It’s almost here!
‘Til Tomorrow…

Very bright and fun. I esp. like the bike in the drink and the tulips pushing through the paving. Looks like a good time.
