A hanging Global Terrain at the Philadelphia Flower Show! Part IV
I love this! A serious architectural stand out at this years show was the Global Terrain exhibit by Beautiful Blooms. The exhibit in corporates hundreds a round vases filled with color water and plants such as delphinium, baby’s breath, thistle and trachilium.

Below the square steel structure hung from the ceiling were long thin wires which when viewed from below seemed to reach skyward. Dangling a few feet from the ground, at the wire’s ends are blue vases hung in artuful rows.

The display is work of art. It’ not only encompases great installation design it also adds a further dimentsion of the shadows cast off the globs on the ground. They describe the installation process on their blog: Beautiful Blooms floral and deocr blog. It’s a really neat read complete with photos of the process! I highly recommend a peek!

The result of all the planning and hard work was show stopping. My only wish was that we could get closer for photographs and visuals. Just a few feet closer and the impact could have been even grander. That said, it is amazing! A absolute must see if you can get here. Beautiful Blooms is based right in Philly. They are one of the great flower designers I’ve seen yet. There is still time to see this great display for yourself! The Philadelphia Flower Show is on view til tomorrow!

Beee-autiful! It looks so other-worldly.
are those blue vases or normal glass vases with blue-tinted water in them?

I bet! Well it's a fantastic idea and perfect, on a small scale, for a modern style home.
