The lilies are beautfil and the orchids bought back memories from years ago. The prettiest orchid I ever saw was ogange and it had to be fifty years or more since I saw it there. In the forties my father started to take us to the gardens. At that time we could park right outside of the conservatory. He liked to go while the snow was on the ground. My Graandfather Duffy helped build the Conservatory as he was Head Leadburner for the DuPont family..Thank you for showing this on Facebook.

Great job, as usual, Britt! My personal favorite - maybe because it's so different, is the "giraffe" orchid. I think that whole area of Longwood is tough to shoot, especially if you aren't using a tripod, because of the fans stirring the air in the room.

Thanks Sunny! Wall gardens are really a phenomenal idea. Although I presume they would generally need a covered ourdoor wall? Not sure but it smelled great and was stunning up close!

Thanks Noelle! You rock. I just loved it! I kept turning the camera off to save the battery for only a few seconds at a time, because a foot later there was another fantabulous bloom! It really is great. If you make it out to the East coast this is the one gardens I would not miss. I've been waiting to photograph gardens ALL winter oh... I have never looked so foward to Spring before. I am going to upgrade on some new photo equiptment as well in the coming month. No idea what to get yet but I thinking of going wide angle. Just a great weekend. I'm going to have to get rocking on my garden schedule for Spring and make sure I get to all the right places at all the right times. At least being out of work has a great upside. Availability to garden hop!

Oh my goodness! They are so beautiful and it is so obvious that you are a professional photographer. I would have been like a kid in a candy store :^)
