Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
So in honor of this grand day I give you – Green. That’s right, lot’s of green. I have more green photos that never seem to see the light of day than I can think of. From here on out, this their day. I love green. It signals spring and lingers for over half the year.
I begin with some Aloe. After all, there is nothing like Aloe to sooth the savage Winter.
Green is often found in the strangest places, like this lovely little Begonia from the National Botanical Garden, from my visit last week. It has it’s Irish on!
The great thing about March is knowing the upcoming Spring’s grass is always greener!
And of course leaves everywhere are happily about to arrive!
The other fantastic thing March signals for me? Trips to gardens around the country with my husband!
And for those who read my post earlier this week on my favorite photo will recognize this grand landscape (below), as my favorite place to shoot. I’ve photographed it in all it’s greenery in the Summer, with it’s earthen colors in the Fall and it greyish mist this past Winter. Now I get to photograph it for the first time in Spring. I have no idea what to expect but the journey will be wonderful.
I have many, many more green moments captured but nothing says Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to me as well as these naturally green mums. I photographed them at this past years mum festival at Longwood Gardens. May you have a great St. Patrick’s Day and an even better green Spring!
‘Til Tomorrow…
