I haven’t had a chance to head up to Longwood Garden’s Meadow in a while. I’ve written about it numerous times now, as it is my favorite place to unwind, think and plan.
One of the great things I love about this meadow is that you never know what you’ll find.
It is fluid, lovely, engaging and ever changing.
Even when it looks barren it’s full of color, life and endless subject matter.
It’s paths are beyond inviting, they are epic.
It’s trees tower with maternal pride.
It’s entire ambiance morphs throughout the day..
as does the journey.
From a distance it seems like a daunting muddled grey, but up close it’s full of vibrant color.
and just when you think you’ve seen it all there is always that last unexpected turn.
I always refer to this place as my meadow because it is where I go to get away from it all. I can wander in it’s vast acreage photographing all day. Mostly I just wander and contemplate all those things that I never think about until I’m here.
